Coffee table choices
A coffee table is often a focal point of a room and most of us have them as a living room staple for resting a cup of tea on or enjoying a TV dinner with friends or family! When choosing a coffee table, there are a few things to consider before finalising your selection:
Size and shape
A long sofa can handle a rectangular or oval coffee table, whereas compact sofas and love seats may work better with a square or round choice. Do you want your coffee table to act as a room divider or do you need to leave space for gathering around it? Consider complementing sharp lines in the room décor with a softer rounded or rounded corner coffee table.
Get the height right
Most of the time, if you choose a coffee table that's the same height or a little taller than your sofa's seat height, you'll be fine. But if you want a really laid back feel and have a lower sofa or lounge seating, you might want to go lower to match. If you want to go taller, consider choosing a table that has a smaller diameter to help balance the composition.
Pick a material that will work for your lifestyle
Choose a table that works with your lifestyle – all of our reclaimed wood designs are relatively low maintenance (you’ll generally get away without a coaster) and those with the aluminium finish may need a polish up from time to time!
